Garage Door Operator Bracket

Here at Baldwin Garage Doors and Gates, we are huge fans of garage door operator brackets. We have been to a lot of repair jobs that this little part could have prevented.

The purpose of a garage door operator bracket is the strengthen the connection between the garage door opener and the garage door. It mounts to the top panel of your sectional garage door and connects to the arm of your garage door motor. It is a thick bracket, about 18- 24 inches long, that will distribute the accumulating stress from the weight of your garage door. It supports the entire top panel, which helps prevent the garage door from splitting. If the garage door panel splits, it can cause your garage door to no longer work and may result in needing to replace the panel, which is not an inexpensive fix. And depending on the age of your garage door, the panel may no longer be available, and an entire change out would be necessary.  And that is even more expensive!

The type and age of your garage door does not matter when it comes to operator brackets. This simple part will help to extend the life of your garage door and make it work smoother. Thankfully for our customers, this is an easy and inexpensive fix.
